Indonesia Juara Trip

Some briefs are straightforward. Capture a Phinisi yacht sailing through one of the most visually extraordinary archipelagos on earth. The challenge isn't finding the shot — it's choosing which one to leave out.

ABOUT

A floating itinerary.
A constantly changing set.

Indonesia Juara Trip runs multi-day sailing journeys through the Komodo archipelago aboard the Catnazse — a traditional Phinisi yacht that moves through turquoise water, pink-sand beaches, and volcanic silhouettes like it belongs to another era. The product is exceptional. The locations are extraordinary. The creative task was to capture all of it in a way that felt as alive as the experience itself — not a highlight reel, but a window into three days at sea.

scope of work

Three days. No fixed location.
Everything moving.

Shooting on a boat is its own discipline. The light shifts constantly. The backdrop changes every few hours — open ocean, sheltered bay, beach, reef, cliff face. You can't plan a shot list the way you would at a property. You have to stay ready, move fast, and know which moments to let go of.

Over three days, we sailed from Labuan Bajo through the Komodo islands. We snorkelled with reef sharks and sea turtles, hiked Padar Island at dawn to watch the sun rise over three curved bays, came face to face with Komodo dragons in their habitat, and watched hundreds of flying foxes rise from the mangroves at dusk. Every hour offered something different.

The content had to cover all of it — the wildness above and below the waterline, the intimacy of life on board, the scale of the landscape, and the quality of the experience Indonesia Juara Trip delivers.

visual approach

Wild and considered. In equal measure.

The Komodo archipelago is visually relentless — there's almost too much to work with. The discipline here was curation: not capturing everything, but selecting the moments that communicate the specific character of this journey.

Above deck: the Phinisi anchored in still water at golden hour, the deck at dusk with the horizon behind it, the easy rhythm of a group that has spent days at sea together. These images carry the quality of the experience — unhurried, connected, far from the ordinary.

Below the surface: reef sharks moving through coral, turtles ascending into light, the underwater world of the Komodo Marine Park exactly as it is — untouched and extraordinary. Shot without interference. Just presence and patience.

On land: Padar Island at dawn, the dragons at ground level, the pink sand of beaches that most people will only ever see in photographs. Each location treated as its own visual world, not just another stop on an itinerary.

the result

Content that moves the way the journey does.

Indonesia Juara Trip offers something increasingly rare: a genuine adventure, delivered with care. The content reflects both sides of that — the wildness of the Komodo archipelago and the quality of the experience surrounding it. Above water and below. At sea and on land. At dawn and at dusk.

Together, it gives the brand a visual range that can speak to different travellers — those drawn by the diving, those drawn by the landscape, those drawn simply by the idea of three days on a Phinisi with nowhere to be but here.
